Our Prayer for Mae Sai

The People,

"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe." Ephesians 1: 18-19. I am so blessed to know that I have a relationship with my Heavenly Father. Simply put, I am His son. I have been specially selected by God Himself to have a relationship with Him, to be cared for by Him, and most importantly to be Loved by Him. As His son, I am entitled to Life and Life Abundantly through the inheritance that we have. With this, I too have a responsibility to use my life to serve Him, and to serve others for the sake of His Name. I am blessed to know, that so many centuries ago, Paul, the writer of this letter, was praying this prayer for me.

Today, I am lifting up this prayer on behalf of the people who live in the border town of Mae Sai, Thailand. I am lifting up this prayer on behalf of the people that live here, that have never had the opportunity to know Jesus Christ as there Lord and Savior. Mae Sai and its sister city Tachielek, across the border in Myanmar have about 100,000 residents. Lonely Planet describes this town as sleepy little border town, that is not much more than a "modern day trading post," but we see this city as a strategic staring point for Church Planting in the Golden Triangle Region that inlcudes Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, and even Southern China. The people of this area are about 90% Buddhist, about 9% Muslim (High for Thailand), and less than 1% Christian.

Join our family in echoing this prayer. This prayer written so long ago, but yet a prayer longing for God's people to open the eyes of their hearts, so that they might believe in Him.

The Land,

"When you have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you." Deuteronomy 8: 10. At Narrow Gate Asia, it is our goal to establish a self-sustainable enterprise, that is focused on church planting at “job #1”, and is also a model for the agricultural and business community in Thailand. We plan to use the people, resources, and relationships of the organization to open doors to the community that will allow for us to demonstrate God’s love for his people.

We have been making contacts in the community that will allow for Narrow Gate Asia to acquire land that will meet the needs of our ministries and provide for opportunity to build relationships among the people of Mae Sai. We know, that God has just the right place in mind, and we want to seek God, and allow for Him to lead us to that location. Join with us in prayer for provision of His Land, in His Time, in His Way.
