Brittan Family Update - September 23

BACK TO BASICS

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,..." That is the final command that we receive from Jesus, and with that, Narrow Gate Asia is compelled to pray, to go, and to teach God's word, so that God will be glorified when all of the Nations come to know Him as Lord and Savior. This is not a task that can be taken lightly and, it is not a task that we can do alone. Because of your prayers the Lord has begun to bring together a group of men that are hungry for God's word, and they have a desire to make His name known in the nation where they live.

The first time we met, one Burmese man showed up. Then two, then three, and now five. We are studying the book of Mark, and as we discuss the passages these men are discovering what it means to Follow Jesus, and to learn and obey His commands. One of these students exclaimed that the town where he lives has several churches and he has been to them all. He said "I sit and listen with tears coming down my face, because they do not teach the basics of salvation." These men are grateful to fellowship and learn together.

We study Conversational English together, and then we have the opportunity to spend several hours combing thought the scriptures, savouring the truths that God provides. Pray for our studies, and lift up these men, as we seek to raise up disciples that will accept the responsibility to lead people through the Narrow Gate that leads to Life.

BACK TO BUSINESS

Our family has been blessed with our transition back to Thailand. Pattie and the three older children are working and studying at the Family Learning Center 45 minutes south of our home in Mae Sai. There education is going very well and while there have been a lot of changes from Home School to International School, the process has been wonderful. Little Nellie is beginning to speak Thai again, and I am proud of her as she returns to Thai Elementary School in our town.

Narrow Gate Asia continues to develop and grow as an organization. We have been blessed with a very gracious board of Directors and look forward to pursue God's call together with them as partners. In November Harry will be returning to the Dallas / Fort Worth area for a couple of weeks to work along side the Narrow Gate Asia board of directors to further plan and organize for the future. This will also be a great time of fellowship and time to reconnect with our friends and partners in America.

We hope and pray that we will be able to connect with many of you, and ask that you pray for the details of this trip.
