When I look at these two pictures, I am amazed at God’s goodness, and His faithfulness. Pattie, and I met 21 years ago, this year we will have been married for 17 years, we have been parents of the four most beautiful children we could ever have for the past 14 years, Pattie and I were baptized 12 years ago, God called us to Seminary and full time Christian service 9 years ago.And… This past week, we celebrated 6 years living and serving in Thailand!
These pictures of Hattie (14), Emma (12), Harry V (8), and Nellie (6) show just how much our children have grown since our first day in Mae Sai in March 2006. In addition to that, this picture is emblematic of the growth of our family, our ministry, and our heart for the people with whom we live and serve along the Thai/Myanmar border. I am reminded that God called us to start Narrow Gate Asia as a model for Bi-Vocational ministry, and that he continues to mold and shape our family, our lives, and our organization for his glory, and for expansion of His Kingdom in this part of the world.
Anniversaries are important milestones. Sometimes, when we are in the thick of things, it is difficult to see how far we have come. But through your prayers, financial support and encouragement, we have been able to establish Narrow Gate Asia, Establish Narrow Gate Farm and Dairy, Establish Narrow Gate Baptist Church of Tachielek in Myanmar, and next month we will Graduate our first intern to go and start his farm and ministry across the border among the Shan People. But space and time does not allow us to share everything we have experienced over these years, so …This summer, we are COMING TO AMERICA to celebrate this anniversary with you, and share what God has been able to do along the Thai/Myanmar border through you, our family, and Narrow Gate Asia. During June and July we will be visiting family, friends, and churches, to celebrate all of God’s blessings here in Thailand. As we prepare, please be in prayer for the following needs.
· Airfare – 300,000 AA miles
· Vehicle for daily use and travel while we are in the States.
· Opportunities to speak and share with groups, friends, and Churches.
· New Church ministry partners.
· Provision of our Daily Bread
· Farm staff, livestock, and Operations while we are away.
