Beautiful Feet...

How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!” Romans 10: 14-15.

Recently, Phii Nat, our out-reach project manager and staff hosted a class of children from a local school.  She gave a tour of the farm to the students, teachers, and parents.  She shared about feeding and caring for the goats.  The team gave a milking demonstration, and let everyone taste the most delicious Goat Milk available in Thailand … She told the visitors about how God created the Goats special to give us milk.   And Most Importantly, GOD made all the children and teachers that came to visit.  God has a plan for each one of those visitors, children and adults, to know Him and call Him Lord.  It encourages me beyond words to know that our team is being the hands and feet of Jesus while we are in America.

Whew…!  And what a summer it has been!  We have visited 6 Churches, in as many cities, across 4 states.  We have been blessed to visit family and friends, have time to rest, to play, to study, and to work.  And, we look forward to seeing what is in store for the balance of our time while on Stateside assignment.

Nellie has had the summer of BFF’s.  It has been fun to watch her transition and grow, while make new friends and getting settled.

Harry V,  spent most of the summer learning to play American Football.  He made lots of friends too and is ready for school.  Last night (Thursday) he played in his first football game.  It was awesome to see him pull off his helmet after the game and see his smile from ear to ear.  He loved it!

Louise, has lived the dream this summer as she pursues her career in dance.  She attended the Texas Ballet Theater intensive program and looks forward to the fall when she will audition for the Nutcracker.

Hattie left for college this week.  Pattie and I took her to Texas A&M University on Wednesday to enlist in the Corps of Cadets.  She will be pursuing an Army contract and working on her Animal Science degree to prepare for Vet school.  She is in Company F-2.

We have also been blessed with the opportunity for our children to attend Trinity Christian School in Aledo, TX this year.  Philosophically they are very similar to CRICS, their school in Chiang Rai.  Yesterday was the first day of class and everyone is excited to get into a routine.

Pattie started a degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  It will be a Master of Arts in Christian School Education to prepare her for her continued career as a full-time volunteer teacher at Chiang Rai International Christian School in Thailand.  And Harry will be working on course work at seminary this year to complete his MA Missiology degree.

This week, Pattie has begun to substitute-teach Computer Science at Trinity Christian Academy.  While we had not planned on her working during this assignment, this 5-6 week position is a blessing that will give her experience in an American school setting, and also help our family with the many expenses while on our State-side assignment.

Our time in America is also to reconnect with friends, family, and ministry partners.   It is one of our goals to also build relationships with NEW PARTNER CHURCHES.  If you have a church our group that you would like for us to meet, please do contact us and arrange a time to visit.  Also, we would love to see and meet with YOU.  Contact us and let us get together.  You might like to host a group in your home, where you could help us connect with new and potential financial partners.  If you are available and willing to do this, email or call me directly.

It is our goal to increase our monthly mission support base by $3,500 per month.  We are also seeking the Lord’s provision for $90,000 usd to help us in Thailand when we return to continue development of programs, staff, and facilities.  It is our vision to develop an outreach project that can host guests for church, community activities, farm activities, camps, and retreats.  Community activities create the RELATIONSHIPS that open the door for us to share the Gospel at Narrow Gate.

“How beautiful are the feet that bring Good News!”  They are beautiful indeed.  Just as “Beautiful” are the hands that are available and willing to be used of God to send and support our ministry and task financially.  If you have ever thought about being a part of Narrow Gate Asia, the time is NOW.  We need your financial support and would like to work with you to facilitate your monthly, or special offering.

All contributions to Narrow Gate Asia are tax deductible, and can be sent via check to our PO Box or Online via Paypal.  For assistance with special contributions through trusts, savings plans, foundations, real estate, like kind donations, etc., please contact me at hbrittan@gmail.com and we can help to facilitate these transactions.

We want to thank everyone for the beautiful hands and feet of Jesus that you have extended to our family since we arrived in the US and we look forward to continuing our time together.

God Bless, From the Brittan Family,
Harry, Pattie, Hattie, Louise, Harry V, and Nellie
