"Friends Come to Visit!"

“The Lord … sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.  And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.  (following their return) … He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see.” Luke 10: 1,2, & 23.

Nellie's New Friend
This past week we were blessed to host two missionary families at our home and farm in Chiang Rai, Thailand.  Of course we ate together, the kids played together, we had fellowship and shared together, and we all had lots to learn about how God is ministering and working through each of these families where we serve.  Thompson’s Station Church in Tennessee, one of our partners back in the US, sent these families to live and work in another Asian country just over one year ago.  They are doing very well in learning language, and finding ways to live and grow in the new communities where they live.  They came to visit us to see and hear about how God is working through our partnership together, our community outreach project in North Thailand, and about how this model might apply to their own vision and call for ministry where they serve.

Eating with Friends is a great way to fellowship.
Of course, during their stay, they milked goats, and learned about the farming business, but more than that, the Lord used this opportunity to share about using “Business” as a strategy for engaging the community with the Gospel.  NARROW GATE can be an example for how other Missionaries, can engage their community by living our lives in such a way that we are on Mission for HIM 24x7.

Even Milking Time can bring Glory to God when you are chasing HIS Plan

We talked a lot about the choices we face in regard to “Entering the NARROW GATE that leads to life.”  Jesus is referring to the choice of salvation, and the promise of eternal life.  He is also bringing to our attention that as Christians we face the “Narrow Gate” of obedience that leads to abundant life. We also have to choose  “How” we will serve Him and the promise that those who we serve will have the opportunity to “enter the Narrow Gate that leads to life”.

We shared about Kingdom focused Business Principles and how those relate to our project at Narrow Gate Asia in Chiang Rai.

Sharing about Narrow Gate

I am a dreamer!  God has given us a HUGE Vision for how to engage the unreached peoples of North Thailand.  What makes me most excited about our friends coming to visit, is that we have a task before us that can be shared across borders, across cultures, and across the world.

Sending our TSC Partners off from the Chiang Rai Airport
“Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see.”  We got to see and share lots of things together with our friends last week.  We are scheduling a return trip, to not only cast vision, but to study and learn together in detail.  My prayer as they return to their place of service, is that God will bless them and use them to see “God’s Kingdom come, and Will be done.”
