In our recent trip to Chiang Dao Thailand, we were stopped in our tracks by the beauty that He has created. The picture listed above is only a few hours from our house. Of course, the picture could never capture the real beauty that is there. God's word says:
For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.
Deuteronomy 8:7-9
We believe that this is what our Father is doing as we speak. He is bringing out family into the good land. So much will be provided for us, and we will lack nothing. This promise is something that we hold tightly too during this time. He will even bring us into a land that is not only flourishing already, but it is a land we can work (dig... a bit) to harvest some iron and copper out of the hills. Let's just say that copper mining is not as simple as just digging up copper pieces.
The process consists of crushing, chemical dissolving, chemical attachment, electric plate attachement, and then the pure copper is ready. Each step of this process is important to create copper as we know it. You can see that the process is much like our process as a believer. We have to crush or turn from current ideas and beliefs. We will dissolve from the things that are not needed in our new life. We will attach to the things that are from God. We will be charged by the energy that only comes from God to do His Will. This process will be important for each person as they come into a relationship with our Heavenly Father.
God has given us this year to grow in our relationship with Him. We are always "in the process" until we reach Heaven, and we know when the time is right He will bring us into this good land.
Thank you for praying for us! We are overflowing with God's love, and we know that He will plant us where he wants us.
