"Friends Make My Heart Glad!"

“Oil and perfume make the heart glad, so a man’s counsel is sweet to his friend.” Proverbs 27: 9.

Some days, working in the farm leaves me no one to talk to but the goats.  I love my goats, and because we take good care of them, they love us too.  I am always pleased when one of my girls meets me at the gate and sticks her head up to be petted.  They really like to be scratched right behind the horns, because they can’t reach that spot themselves.

But, then there are other days, when we have lots of guests, coming and going from our farm.  We have Buddhists guests, Muslim guests, and Christian Guests. We have volunteers that come to work, and we have customers that come to buy milk and see the farm.  We see old friends and make new friends.  We have even had groups come and set up camp in the back of our farm for youth groups and retreats.  Whoever and whenever our friends come, they are always welcome.

Why, because having friends around the farm makes my heart glad.  Judging by the smiles on our visitors faces, they are glad too.  No matter who comes, we always answer the question, “What does NARROW GATE” mean?”  For Christian friends, and volunteers, we want them to understand our ministry better and we explain about how the name of our farm defines our ministry and is used to share the Gospel message.  For our customers and people who do not know the “Good News” of Jesus, answering this question opens the door for us to share with them about who Jesus Christ is and how God has called us to make a choice about the kind of life we are going to lead.  The “LIFE” He offers to us, is Eternal Life and Life Abundantly in God’s Son Jesus.

Over the Christmas and New Year’s Holiday, lots of tourists come to Mae Sai and over the past few weeks, we have had people in our farm nearly every day.  I wish I had pictures of them all, because in one way or another they have each made my heart glad.  In addition to that, each one of you make my heart glad because we know that you are praying for us, supporting us, and encouraging us in the task that the Lord has given us along the Thai-Myanmar border.

Email, Write, Mail, Call, or even come and visit us at the farm.  We would love to see and hear from you.  I promise we will have milk to drink, and I always have the coffee on.

Greetings from our Family and God Bless.
