"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. " Matthew 11:28God is our Heavenly Father, and who knows better than when we need to rest and take a break. As a parent, when we see our kids struggling and burdened it is our desire to do whatever we can to make them more comfortable, stable, and healthy.
Little Harry has been battling with tonsillitis for about one year. During this time, we have seen many different doctors, and we have tried many different approaches to treatments for him without any success. Little Harry continues to to have a scratchy throat, swollen tonsils, difficulty sleeping, snoring, low energy, low interest in school, and irritable most of the time. Recently, we were able to visit with a doctor in Chiang Mai (about 4 hours from Mae Sai), and we discussed the surgery for Little Harry. At this time he told me that he would do the surgery if any of the following criteria was met:
1. Tonsils are showing physical signs - he said he would look for physical signs that the tonsils are needing to be removed.
2. Obstructive Sleep Apnea - If the tonsils or adenoids are causing this to happen he will remove them immediately.
3. Quality of Life - if the problem with the tonsils and adenoids is causing the quality of life to be a problem he will remove the tonsils.
Little Harry meets all of these criteria, and we need to schedule the surgery before the end of the year. Providing quality health care for our family on the mission field is always a challenge, and this provides an opportunity to see how God is going to provide for our family and our ministry. We have been able to put back a portion of the cost for this procedure, but we continue to pray that God will provide the remaining $2000 to cover the cost of surgery and travel. We would like to invite you to pray with us and ask God to fulfill this need.
