"Time for a PIC - NIC!"

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest." Matt 11:28. Many of us know and love this verse. We are reminded that no matter our situation we serve a God who can comfort, strengthen, and allow for us to replenish our resources. Whether we are tired, hungry, or thirsty He is sufficient to give us the rest that we need to fulfill the challenges and calling that we have. This rest applies to both physical and spiritual refreshment.

Starting work on the farm has resulted in sore muscles, blisters, sun-burn, and endless cuts and scrapes as we begin to clear land, dig for water systems, and build worker housing. Starting work in our local church here in Mae Sai, has had its own effects, as we face the challenges of outreach, teaching, and developing the spiritual lives of those we meet. So Sunday afternoon was the perfect time to sneak away with the family for a Pic-Nic and REST! We loaded up the truck with kids, dogs, food, and a mat to sit on. On our way to the farm (Where else would you go for a Pic-Nic), we bought Grilled Pork on a Stick (Moo Ping) and Sticky Rice (Kaaw Niaw) from our favorite street vendor. We set up under our partially built house, and enjoyed a few hours away to eat, play, rest, and rejoice in the place and the work that God has give to us.

As we laid back on the ground looking up at the sky, I could hear the kids playing in the caves and the dogs yapping off in the distance. As the sun was setting, it was the perfect place to be and reflect on just how good God is. He calls us, He saves us, He prepares us, He protects us, and He provides for us. As I rested there, I thanked God for my Family, my Work, for what He is doing, and for what He is going to do.

I also thank God for how he is using you and your prayers to make it possible for Narrow Gate Asia to do Ministry in North Thailand. In our last update, we were very excited to announce that we had found land for our dairy project and we mentioned some general categories of things to pray for. A number of people have asked about specific, immediate needs that our project might have and we have listed several of those for your prayers and sponsorship.

- Worker Housing (2 Houses - $900 Each)
- Water System ($1500)
- Electrical System ($2000)
- Pasture Improvement and Planting ($2500)
- Compact Tractor and Implements
(Second Hand - $3000)
- Phase One Barn Construction ($3000)
- Milking Equipment ($2500)
- Staff Salary (2 - $125 per month)
- Narrow Gate Asia Personal Monthly Support
- Contributions of Retired Ag. Equipment (inc. Milking/Dairy Equip, Silos and Feed Storage, Free-Stall Stanchions, Hand Tools, Compact Tractor, Etc.)

This past week, we also celebrated a Major Milestone in our lives and Ministry. We have been in Thailand for FOUR years! My how we have all changed and grown up. As we look to the future, and plan for our ministry and projects, celebrate the past together with us as well. We would not have been here, were it not for the blessing of your prayers and support.
