"It's all about HIM!"

"Then he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4:6. Have you ever had one of those times when you expend all of your thoughts, efforts, time, and strength on a project, only to be left exhausted, frustrated, and wiped-out with nothing to show for it. We are given opportunities and experiences that mold and shape us into who we are today. We develop knowledge and skills, and for the most part, there is very little in our world that we cannot do for ourselves. Sometimes, we might even do a pretty good job. But when it comes to a spiritual task or even a physical task that God has called us too, nothing we can do will make it possible for us to experience success.

Not only in spiritual tasks, but I believe that God is involved with every aspect of our lives and promises to be there for is in everything from the smallest thought, to the most difficult or strenuous of activities. He wants to be involved with you, and we need Him to be there to guide us, provide for us, and protect us. When we exclude the working of the Holy Spirit in our activities, we are setting ourselves up for failure.

During the past six months, we have contacted hundreds of land-owners, we have looked at over a hundred sites, we have visited dozens of farms, and even gotten close to negotiating contracts on several sites. While we have been submitting this issue before the Lord in prayer, our behavior has demonstrated, that it is in our "Might" that we have placed our trust. Left exhausted and dismayed, we once again laid this issue be for the Lord. But this time, we backed away from our search activities and surrendered the process to Him.

Last week, through a series of supposedly unrelated circumstances I made the acquaintance of AaMee, an Akha (Tribal) Church Planter, who had heard we needed land for our Dairy Project. I instantly felt a connection with this young man, and God began to not only provide us with the perfect location for Narrow Gate Farm and Dairy, but He has introduced to us a new friend and ministry partner.

Pattie and I saw this land three years ago and both agreed that it was the most beautiful place in Mae Sai for a farm. But we never imagined that the Lord would make it possible for us to aquire this land for our Dairy Project. The Lord, the owner of the "Cattle on a Thousand Hills" has given us a hill of our own, complete wihth 27 rai, two water sources, road access, fencing, electricity, and a Lenchee Orchard, all within 5 minutes of our house. Once again, He has demonstrated that He is Faithful, and He is capable of doing far more than you or I can ever imagine.

Locating a site and beginning farm development is a significant step in providing for sustainable church planting in this part of the world. It is our prayer that this project will be used not only to train and equip pastors, evangelists, and church workers, in Bible teaching and Dairy Technologies, but participants will leave with resources to take the "Milk of the Word," and the "Milk of the Farm" to grow both the Kingdom and the Communty.

We want to thank you for your prayers, and encourage you to celebrate with us, as we praise God for His provision. As we begin the development process, continue to be in prayer for the provision of resources including: worker housing, land clearing, pasture and forage planting, small tractor, and utility infrastructure.
