As we close out 2009, the activities in the month of December represent answers to your prayers, and opportunities that will open doors to future ministry in the areas of Education, Agri-Business development, and Church Planting through Narrow Gate Asia. In the names of God, we can see His character as it has been expressed during this past month.
YAHWEH-JIREH: "The Lord will Provide" – During my recent trip to America, the Lord provided everything that we needed to purchase a vehicle for our family and ministry. During the month of December I traveled to South Thailand and drove home our new van. The registration was completed just two days before Christmas and we Praise the Lord for this gift, and for your prayers. We have already been able to take guests and volunteers to outreach activities, church services, community events, and also taking Pattie and the children to school. Thank you Lord for your provision.
ELOHIM: God “Creator, Mighty and Strong” - Phii Naawitt began working with us this past month to help find a location for our Dairy Farm Project. The Lord is initiating these beginning stages to make the ministries of Narrow Gate Asia self-sustainable, and provide opportunity to create careers for bi-vocational pastors in the region of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. During the next several weeks, we plan to secure a long-term lease for property, followed by the development of pastures and facilities as we go into the spring and summer months. Pray with us for our Creator, Mighty and Strong, to provide for and fulfill His plan.
YAHWEH-ROHI: "The Lord Our Shepherd" – The Lord guides and protects us for the purpose of molding and shaping us into who He wants us to be. Education, whether it is in agriculture, language, or discipleship, provides an opportunity for our family to build relationships with people in the community, 
and to build the leaders of the future in the churches of North Thailand and Myanmar. Pattie continues to teach upper level math and physics at the local international school. Harry teaches Bible and discipleship to national church leaders and by preaching in local congregations across the border. In addition, December has been a month to begin the process building partnerships to open our language school in Mae Sai for the coming year.
EL SHADDAI: “God Almighty,” – It is this aspect of God, that is going to expand God’s Kingdom in North Thailand. It is our heart at Narrow Gate Asia to start a community based church to 
minister in a culturally diverse region with a focus on disciple ship. Our relationships in the community open doors that will effectively allow for us to share the Gospel. This past month, we were invited by Mae Sai Jr./ Sr. High School to prepare a program to celebrate and explain the true meaning of Christmas. On Christmas 
Eve morning, we sang songs, performed a live nativity drama, and openly shared the Gospel to over 2600 students. As I reflect on this opportunity, I praise God, because in this one event, the name of Jesus Christ has been preached to every Thai family in Mae Sai. Praise God with us, and continue to pray for His blessing in the planting of Narrow Gate Community Church in Mae Sai.PRAYER REQUESTS –
- Pray God will provide the land for Narrow Gate Farm and Dairy and for the resources for development and acquisition of livestock.
- Pray for Phii Nawitt our newest Narrow Gate Asia staff in Thailand.
- Pray for our Bible students who are preparing to join us at the farm to learn about Dairy and for their preparation as church leaders.
- Pray that God will call national partners to join and lead our projects in North Thailand.
- Pray for our short term (individual and group) volunteers who are coming to Thailand to serve this summer.
- Pray for God to call out two long-term singles or couples to serve in the English and Evangelism ministries of Narrow Gate Asia for one or more years.
- Pray for health and family during the transition to the new year and programs.
- Pray the God’s Kingdom will come and His Will be done at Narrow Gate Asia.
