"101 Barn Designs - God's Plan or Mine?"

"For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29: 11.

This verse brings reassurance and comfort to the believer and to God's servants in times of change and uncertainty. But sometimes we forget, that changes in "OUR" plan, or really more like minor adjustments in the overall scheme that God has put into place for our lives and ministry. When God begins to make refinements in our lives, it is a time for us to listen and grow in the areas that he is bringing to our attention.

Pattie says that I should write a book about barn planning and design, titled "101 Barn Designs - God's Plan or Mine." I continually find myself adjusting and changing things. Mostly though, this has been a process in hearing God and allowing Him to change my heart and mind about what exactly this project is supposed to be. What we are finding is that He wants us to build a simple model, from basic technology, from locally available resources and materials. What this does, is establishes a "REPRODUCIBLE" system of farming. Not only has the barn layout changed, but we will begin our first phase at Narrow Gate Farm and Dairy by raising Dairy Goats and processing their milk for sale as yogart, cheese, and of course farm fresh goat's milk.

Bi-vocational ministry opens a door of opportunity for the Asian church to move towards a self-sustainable future. When we provide reproducible models for pastors and farmers to follow it make it more likely for those ideas to be accepted and implemented. God has been showing us that this concept is key to our success in Thailand and in penetrating the communities in North Thailand and Myanmar with the Gospel. God continues to refine our vision and our ministry as we struggle to know Him and His purposes better.

We are excited about the potential for raising goats, and praise the Lord for the opportunity that it provides for self-sustainable ministry, engagement of the community, and for teaching us that keeping it small gives a chance for God to work and be the focus of our success. Pray for God's blessing, provision, and guidance to help us in getting this project started.

• Pray for coordinating of our Upcoming "C0-Worker Celebration" in Forth Worth, TX this month to share and celebrate about what God is doing North Thailand.
  
• Pray for financial resources to begin construction of Farm facilities, Utilities, and Livestock.
• Pray for Thai Partners to join the Narrow Gate Asia team as we serve among the Northern Thai and Hill-Tribe Peoples.
• Pray for Co-Workers to Pray, Serve, and Give Financially to the ministries of Narrow Gate Asia.
  
• Pray the God's Kingdom will come and His Will be done at Narrow Gate Asia.
