"The Cattle on a Thousand Hills."

"For every beast of the forest is mine,the cattle on a thousand hills." Psalms 50:10. As a bi-vocational pastor who is developing a dairy farm in North Thailand, I am excited to know that not only is God the owner of everything (especially the livestock), but he controls and orchestrates each and every event that moves us along the way to fulfilling the vision that God has given to us for His work.

At Narrow Gate Asia, it is our goal to establish a self-sustainable enterprise, that is focused on church planting at “job #1”, and is also a model for the agricultural, dairy, and business community in Thailand that utilizes the people, resources, and relationships of the organization to open doors to the community that will allow for us to demonstrate God’s love for his people.

As we pray for fulfillment of this vision, I am excited to announce to you about the establishment of a matching grant for purchase of livestock. What this means for Phase One of Narrow Gate Farm and Dairy, is that for every head of cattle purchased, our partner will donate an additional cow, up to ten additional production cows to the Phase One herd. This is very exciting, because as the herd size increases the cost for maintenance and production per cow drops, therefore increasing net proceeds to be utilized for support of ministries, staff, and other missionary families.

In addition, our first farm staff, will be joining us next week. Phii Newit, is a graduate from Bangkok Seminary, and brings with him a wealth of agricultural knowledge and especially a heart for sharing the Gospel with the lost of this region. His first task, is to help us to finalize the location of our farm and negotiate the terms of our lease contract. It is by faith, that Phii Newit joins our team, because none of us know at this time what the future may hold for the project.

As we put our hands to the plow, we continue to pray for God's provision and direction for acquisition of land this month, followed by the improvement of pastures, construction of facilities, and livestock purchases. Praise the Lord with us for this matching livestock program, for the service of Phii Newit, and also about how the Lord might be leading you to participate in the projects of Narrow Gate Asia and Narrow Gate Farm and Dairy.

Pray for the proper site to establish Narrow Gate Farm and Dairy in Mae Sai.
Pray for our Christmas Program at Mae Sai High School (2600 Students).
Pray for Narrow Gate Language School to open in May, 2010.
Pray for our volunteer teams coming in the summer of 2010.
Pray for our long term volunteers coming in the summer of 2010.
Pray for National partners to join our work and team.
Pray for BOLDNESS to preach God's Word as we should.
