Tokyo, Japan

Just before the plane pulled into the gate at Tokyo's Narita Airport, the flight attendant was giving final announcements and instructions. Another attendant came by our seats to check on us and Little Harry had a question for her. He asked, "Is she speaking Thai? We speak Thai and that doesn't sound like any Thai Language I've ever heard..... We are Thai's and I'm not sure what she is saying."

I laughed and told him, "She is speaking Japanese son, We're not in Thailand yet."

We did arrive in Tokyo, at around 130pm (1055 pm Dallas Time) and praise the Lord for a great first leg of our journey. All 12 hours and 56 minutes. The second meal was even good!

I was reading in Numbers 11 this morning and the theme was about the complaints of the Isrealites about the food that was provided saying, "The rabble who were among them had greedy desires; and also the sons of Israel wept again and said, "Who will give us meat to eat? We remember the fish which we used o ea free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions, and the garlic, but now our appetite is gone. There is nothing at all to look at except this manna."

About 15 minutes later our first meal was served. Six miles of the face of the earther, I was just glad to have something to eat. We have about 35 to 40 hours of travel, and in comparison to the 40 years in the desert, that is not long at all.

We are in transit here at the Tokyo Airport and as such are limited to th International side of the security gate. We have not cleared customs hear and will wait about 7 hours until we board for Bangkok. We have already met a couple of other travelers and settling down a bit.

Here are some pics in Tokyo.

Our new friend Ikkimoto and Harry's favorite childhood book (in Japanese).
