One week ago, Hattie and Harry participated in their first mountain bike race here in Mae Sai. Whew! What a course! It was uphill and down hill, through the trees, sometimes two loops around. Hattie's course was 13 kilometers. Harry's course was about 24 kilometers. There were even parts of the course that Harry had to carry his bike (and so did most of the other guys).
Hattie was in the girls under 12 category with three other riders. She came in 2nd place. She can't wait to do it again.
Harry was in the 35-39 category with 9 other riders. He came in 4th place. He is so excited about these opportunities to race here in Thailand.
