This week Emma begged her dad to teach her to ride a bike, and he agreed. She had rode her bike so much in the past that her training wheels fell off!! It was time to learn to ride a two wheeler.
Recently. Harry received a bicycle magazine in a box sent from America , and in this magazine there was an article about foolproof ways to teach your child to ride a bike. Harry tested out these new theories, and WoW!! Emma can ride a bike by herself.
The first 15-20 minutes were spent just getting Emma to balance the bike. She would put her feet down close to the ground, and Harry would give her a push. Her feet were to be used to keep the bike upright without falling. Once she got the idea, she was able to balance.
Next, Harry would give her the same push, and Emma would put her feeton the peddles before the push. She was to start peddling immediately, and she did. She was just filled with joy to feel the bike moving without anyone holding on to it.
Next, Harry showed her how to get going by herself. This took some practice, but she was able to make some great efforts.
Total time on this day was about 1 hour. Emma was riding a bike by herself.
The next couple of days he spent with her riding about the neighborhood. He showed her how to look for traffic, and how to stop and go at each street. She also had to learn how to turn the bike without falling. So many details, but she has been able to conquer them all!!
Yea!!! Go Emma!!!

Here is a picture of Emma riding in front of our house on the second day. Here is another picture of all the kids in front of our house..... Enjoy!!
