Coming soon!!

I have been wanting to post some things about our favorite places to go here in town, but the camera batteries are dead. I keep forgetting to buy new ones when we go to the store, so today I am determined to get batteries when I go to buy diapers for Nellie.

Keep checking back soon. The following posts are coming soon:

Right now we are getting ready for Hattie to go to summer camp with other TCKs. She is so excited. She is on the green team, so we are gathering things that are green for her to take. It is so hard to think about what she should take. It has been so long since I went to camp, so I am really having to think hard. Any suggestions?? Hattie will leave for camp on July 2nd, and we will pick her up on July 8th. This is her first time away from home alone. Are there any comforts from home that I should send?? We are in the process of going through her clothes to make sure she is equipped with the right clothes also.

Emma and Hattie are both learning Thai really fast. They are also learning to read and write Thai. It is fun to see them learn. There is some healthy competition going on also to see who learns the fastest. Emma is learning quickly, and everyone is very impressed. Hattie is really doing great with recognizing letters when we are out in the town. Their Thai tutors spend about 1.5 hours each day with them. The first hour is spent studying independently, and the last 1/2 hour is spent "testing" them together to see who remembers the lesson. It is fun to see them working together (or competing a little bit). I really think this has helped the girls in their relationship.

Emma and Hattie have both lost more teeth. Nope, it is not from all the snacks!! Emma has now lost two teeth since we have arrived in Thailand, and Hattie has also lost two teeth. The tooth fairy is going to go broke at this rate!!!

Lil Harry has really made alot of friends. Mostly it is the little girls at school that seem to follow Harry around. He is so sweet to them. A few time when I picked Harry up from school he would give them a kiss on the cheek before leaving. How cute!! I know he also acts like a boy, but I really treasure these soft moments with him. He has started saying " I love you mom and dad" lately, and that really means alot to us. We know that all the changes are hard for the children, and to hear them express their feelings is a great sign!

Nellie is growing fast. Today she is 11 months. I can't believe it. She crawls around the floor, and she is starting to repeat words she hears. Of course, she is speaking Thai and English. I can't wait to see how she grows. I will have more on Nellie very soon.....stay tuned....

Just an update on me. I am starting a Bible study with some other English speaking women here. We will meet once a week. We are beginning with studying the book of James. We will do this for 5 weeks (we think), and then we will choose another study to do. We are a bit challenged with getting bible study materials here in Thailand, so we are looking into what books we may be able to buy here or get shipped here by next month. Any suggestions??

Well, it is time for language study, so I have to run for now!
