"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10: 14-15Following a long day on the farm, we were relaxing with our workers at the barn. One thing lead to another as we talked about day, and the Lord opened the door for our intern and I to share the good news of Jesus with our worker Pii Seeng (Picture Left). He has heard of Jesus before ... he has even been to church. But, this was the first time that he had the opportunity for someone to sit down and explain clearly what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. Pii Seeng is a Buddhist, and his perspective on life is much different than ours. The next day he told our SangTee (Picture Below), our intern, that he could believe in Jesus, but he is afraid that his traditional Thai family may be dishonored and would not want to receive him if he was Christian. We have later discovered that His mother is the "Spiritual Doctor" for his home village. Please pray for Pii Seeng as he discovers who God wants him to be. Also pray that the Lord will bless his time in our farm and help him make decisions that will allow him to become a member of God's family.
Just as the verse in Romans proclaims. How can they believe, unless they have heard. Our family is so blessed to have been sent by you, our Co-Workers, to serve in North Thailand.
