"The Time is NOW!"

“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven … He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.” Ecc. 3: 1 and 11.

It has been a long time since our last update, and I can only say that the past few months have been just a bit overwhelming in more ways than we can say. This past month, we celebrated our FIVE YEAR anniversary in Thailand. While we have adjusted to living in Thailand and life as Missionaries, in God’s sense of humor he now has us adjusting to life as a Dairy Farmer. As you recall, our goat herd arrived back in February, and lots has been happening here in Mae Sai, as we continue to watch God work on the front-lines of His ministry along the Thai-Burma border.

As I reflected on these past few months, I realized that we have experienced an extreme range of circumstances, such as : goat arrival and settling in, illness, birth, death, Baptisms, New Life, visitors from the Village and from Foreign Lands, working interns, discipleship, evangelism, earthquakes, thunderstorms, dry season, engine trouble, spiritual trouble, new employees, quitting employees, back injuries, saying hello, saying good bye, our Five year Anniversary in Ministry, and by God’s Grace -Pattie and I celebrated 21 years of being together.

I have never been so exhausted has I have been over these past few months, BUT when I lay down at night, my last breath and last thought is a reminder that I am blessed to be doing what God has called me to do!

There is a time for everything that is true! I think that the most exciting thing in the past few months has been seeing how God is working in the village of Phaa Mii in Mae Sai, and how God has set eternity on the hearts for the people in this village.

Our ministry partner in the village near our farm is named Pastor AaMeh. God has called him to plant the first church in Phaa Mii Village. This village has historically been closed to the gospel, to missionaries, and to foreigners due to Buddhism and Spirit Worship. However God has opened a door for this young pastor and his family to do ministry in his own village. He came to know the lord while away studying, and is the first person to ever return home and share the Gospel in Phaa Mii. In October or 2009, he began his ministry there, and just this month, God has allowed Pastor AaMeh to baptize the first four members of Phaa Mii Church. In addition, I was blessed with the opportunity to assist in this service and to Baptize my 7 year old son Little Harry.

The ministries of Phaa Mii Church also include a Chinese and English school, he will begin a Children’s Home for kids in need and dangerous situations, and Pastor AaMeh is also an active partner in our work at Narrow Gate Farm and Dairy. This summer break, we will be hosting two volunteers from Birchman Baptist Church who will be helping Pattie to facility English programs, and Camps in Phaa Mii village.

Please pray with us for Pastor AaMeh, his wife Milky, and their son John. It is a blessing to have them as friends, and to serve alongside them, as we see God’s Kingdom come, and Will be done in Mae Sai, Thailand.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support. Without you, our ministry on this side of the world would not be possible. The time for you to become a Co-Worker with us is Now.

Thank you, and God Bless!
